My name is Melisa Miller and I serve as a perinatal bereavement and birth doula. I am a strong fertility advocate and help you navigate your unique journey to parenthood. I enjoy natural healing and herbal education and practices. I’m a dedicated wife and mom, Christ follower, native Spanish speaker and proud birth keeper of our traditional birth and postpartum practices.
I became a certified Birth and Bereavement Doula with Stillbirthday in 2024 and I hold multiple certifications that have helped me become better educated in the services I offer.
My husband and I battled an infertility diagnosis for over 5 years. Having experienced repeated losses myself I found my friends and family reaching out to me for advice, support, and information.
I began to research what kind of career I could lead that better served that calling. The more I learned the more I fell in love with being a doula and supporting couples during different stages of their path to parenthood.
Having experienced different paths to parenthood myself, I am comfortable serving in hospital and home birth settings, medicated and unmedicated with grace and compassion.

Outside of being a doula, I am a mother to two beautiful rainbow babies, two geckos and two turtles. I love being outdoors and homeschooling my children. I spend lots of time with my family, serving my church and enjoying the blessings in life. I am a KCinfertility board member and help facilitate their support group within our community.
My work as a doula is grounded in deep respect for your story, choices, and unique path. I believe every family deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered through clear birth education.
I trust in the natural wisdom of the body and honor the beauty of physiological birth, while also holding space for the many ways journeys can unfold. There is no single “right” way to give birth. There is only what feels right for you. Through both birth and loss, pregnancy after loss, I offer a steady presence, and create space so that you feel safe and supported.
